Design Terms

Preface:
Please understand that I am a mother of two very young children, and while I absolutely adore my career here at JJD, I am a mother first. If one of my children is sick or needs me, I will be there, and I will email you to let you know of any delays that may take place in the event of illness or emergency. I work into the wee hours of the morning most days, and I reply to emails within 24 hours of receiving them, so I am stretching my time as thin as I possibly can. Thank you for understanding!

Copyright:
I uphold the copyright of photographers, scrap kit designers, and other blog and logo designers as well. By sending me a kit or images to use on your order, you agree to take full responsibility for any misuse of copyrighted images and agree to not hold me liable for any misuse of copyrighted images.

Blog designs are protected by copyright and property of Jumping Jax Designs. Any images, coding, or other design elements are not to be shared, copied, or altered. Please DO NOT attempt to edit or remove parts of coding yourself, and email me if you need a change made.

Blog owners absolutely DO have permission to add or edit text, gadget location, photos, and widgets in the footer and sidebar!

Privacy:
Any and all personal information will be kept private between the customer and Jumping Jax Designs. For blog designs, I will need your Blogger login information to access your account and install your design, so I ask that you change your password to something generic like “HappyBirthday” until the design process is complete. Yes, this is your Google login information, and I will ONLY log in to Blogger.com, not gmail or any other Google accounts. I will use my professional accounts with webs.com and Photobucket to host your fonts and graphics.

Design Credit:
I will place an icon at the bottom of each of my blog designs and on the back of printed products giving credit to Jumping Jax Designs. By purchasing a blog design package from me, you are agreeing to leave the button on the bottom of your blog until ALL elements of my design have been removed from the blog.

Refunds:
Because I am not in the business of working for free, I will not issue a full refund once any services have been rendered.

For logos, if no high resolution files have been sent but proofs have been designed, you may be refunded up to $20 for the incomplete project.

ONCE A HIGH RESOLUTION FILE FOR A LOGO OR CARD DESIGN HAS BEEN ISSUED, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.

Due to the nature of the services, refunds for card designs will be given only for special circumstances, with a $10 deposit fee.

For blog designs, refunds are available as follows:
-If you have been placed on my wait list and I have NOT begun working on your design, and you decide not to have me design your blog, you may be refunded the total you paid, minus a $20 deposit fee.
-If I have begun working on your design but have not yet sent you images to view, you may be refunded up to half of the total you paid, minus a $20 deposit fee.
-If I have begun working on your design and have sent you a preview, I do not usually allow for refunds. If there is a problem, please email me and we can figure something out!

ONCE A HIGH RESOLUTION FILE FOR A LOGO OR CARD DESIGN HAS BEEN ISSUED, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.

NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN ONCE A BLOG DESIGN DESIGN HAS BEEN INSTALLED.

Revisions:
I keep a file of your card, logo, or blog design elements (NOT coding) for 15 days after completion of the design. In that time period, you may contact me for revisions, at a fee of $15 per edit. My blog designs are not to be edited or altered in any way unless the entire design coding is removed. I am not responsible for mistakes made by the blog owner in attempts to edit coding.

Liability:
For blog designs, you MUST back up your original blog design before we begin the design process. I will help walk you through it if you don’t know how, but I cannot be responsible for elements lost in the process of creating your new design. Please email me if you need assistance backing up your blog.

Payments:
I accept PayPal only at this time for all digital files. If you are not familiar with PayPal, please email me and I can send you an invoice for your total.  In order to be placed on my wait list for blog designs, I do require payment in full. This is to ensure that I’m only reserving days for serious clients who do intend on getting a design package.
